A Life of Quiet Strength and Thoughtful Purpose
I’ve never lived the flashy life of a rock star or a famous athlete. While that world may seem thrilling from the outside—filled with parties, hotels, drinks, and endless travel—it often carries its own burdens and poor choices. That kind of life never appealed to me. I’ve always found contentment in simplicity, honesty, and quiet responsibility.
As an engineer by profession, I spent my working years serving in various capacities across multinational companies. Each role deepened my understanding and shaped my values. Later, I ventured into a small ancillary business, which my son eventually took over. Though we gave it our best, the business faced losses and had to be closed—a chapter marked by resilience, learning, and acceptance.
Today, I live independently by choice, managing my household and finances with discipline and care. For safety and peace of mind, I reside in a gated community. My days revolve around caring for my beloved wife, my life partner, who bravely battles CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy). Her condition requires constant attention, and being her caregiver is not just a duty—it’s a full-time commitment born of love and devotion.
At 82, I make a conscious effort to stay mentally and emotionally engaged. I’ve embraced stock trading as a way to challenge myself and maintain focus. It brings structure to my mornings and keeps my analytical mind sharp. After trading hours, I turn to blog writing, where I explore topics ranging from politics to entertainment. These pursuits not only occupy my time but also nourish my curiosity and keep me connected to the world.
Whenever life offers the chance, I cherish moments spent with loved ones—family and friends. Yet time has taken many of my friends away, and now I mostly wait in quiet hope for visits from those still dear to me. My children care deeply, but their lives are full—with families to nurture, responsibilities to manage, and me to think of too. I understand, even as I long for their presence.
Mine is not a life of glamour, but one of quiet strength, thoughtful purpose, and enduring love. And in that, I find meaning.
